About me
I have created a whimsical and lively line of hats for all to enjoy. Bringing quality and sensory friendly alternative crochet headwear, my hats being made out of 100% Merino Wool and the lining being made of 100% Charmeuse Satin. My hats are for those of whom are unable to finish their hair or just are too tired to but who want the comfort of being able to go out in style without all the unwanted judgement. My hats are also to bring comfort to those who don’t like the more scratchy texture of acrylic yarn. My summer collection is to provide a representation of blissfulness and peace. I hope to make a plethora of different adaptations for the coming seasons to bring the essence of each.
There’s this hat I wore all the time, a crochet black hat. I did not make this hat, however it was a comfort. I remember being asked often if I made it, and although I crochet sparsely in my free time there were no completed projects to show for it. My sibling however brought me back to my passion last winter as they gifted me yarn and asked for me to make a scarf out of it. The quality was wonderful, 100% cotton, way better than the chenille yarn I had gotten from the dollar store in previous years. Once I was done with the scarf I craved for more projects which led me to where I am now. That craving has led me, now that a bit of my free time has been restored, to start creating again like I did many months ago. I wanted to recreate the hat but was unable to find a pattern for it. I attempted to make a beret alternatively. Luckily, by making the wrong steps I ended up making the right pattern for that black hat. Such luck has found me in a yarn store in Berkeley perusing their quality yarn. This is what enlightened me to use wool yarn, a much more sensory friendly alternative to acrylic. Utilizing this yarn, with a combination of both silk and polyester satin charmeuse, I was able to create the hats I have before you all. I look forward to embarking on this new journey, thank you!
